When using a chroma key'ed camera feed in OBS or XSplit, how accurate the effect is comes down a few core factors, but lighting is probably the most important. Even if you can afford such, there are other factors like how much space you have between you and the screen.

It can be a bit of a struggle sometimes.

So, I decided to think laterally and solve this in a different way. The thing we want to remove are those green edges around hair and reflections of green. Using photoshop, I altered a standard color LUT and leeched the green from it. In essence, keeping the light level of each green pixel and replacing it with grey.

It doesn't fix "the problem" but it does remove that green tint .. and conceptually for me at least, I think the effect is excellent. It just feels less like a green screen.

And the best thing is, this effect is done with basically zero overhead to your system! This color LUT file can be used with OBS or XSplit (or any other camera app that uses LUTs), applied after the chroma effect.

Feel free to download this for free if you're unsure, you can always use KoFi to give me a cup of coffee later ;)
